About the Author:
Sudha Murty was born in 1950 in Shiggaon in north Karnataka. She is a university professor of computer science, chairperson of the Infosys Foundation and a prolific writer in both English and Kannada.
A poor little girl is rewarded with lovely gifts when she feeds a hungry bird all the rice she has.
